I'm not a mass production potter. Each vessel is hand thrown on an old fashioned kick wheel. No glaze is used so the beauty as well as the imperfections of the of the bare clay and the process will show. Each will be between 4 and 5 inches tall and wide. The vessels will be shiny because I buff and wax them but there is no glaze so they are not watertight. No liquids can be used in them.
To collect the hair:
Lift the mane and tail and clip off a small amount. Color does not matter, all the lines will turn out black on the vessel! If you don't want to clip the mane and tail just collect the hair over a few days of brushing. I need about 20 pieces of hair. If possible 20 longer tail hairs (thicker lines) and/or 20 mane hairs (thinner lines). If you have less then 20 hairs to send I can still make the vessel it will just have less hair marks.
Place the hair into an envelope. Press to let the air out of envelope and write the name of your horse on it. Then fold the envelope and place it in another envelope.
